Kimisagara youth league parallel with Kabuye youth league

P1160822Hello and welcome to our annual first post about the youth leagues 2019/2020. For the first time in Esperances history we are not only organizing the Kimisagara youth league which is starting with their 4th season this year. In 2019/2020 we are also starting the first season of Kabuye Youth league.

On the 16th of November we will have an opening ceremony for the Kabuye youth league, with all the participating teams includind the Coaches and Managers.

The opening ceremony for this years Kimisagara youth league will be on the 17th of november.

On Saturday the 23rd of February 2019 both Legaues will start with the opening games. Until then we advice you to keep reading our posts to get updates about the final gameplans and important dates to know.

Since 2017, Esperance organizes the Kimisagara Youth League and for the first time the Kabuye youth league as well. Every year in collaboration with German volunteers, German institutions and german donators. This year 2019/2020, the German volunteers Maximilian and Sandro coordinate the league together with Esperance’s staff members. We would like to thank our donators (of funds and material) and advisers. Thanks to the German Embassy, the office of Jumelage Rhenanie Palatinate/Rwanda, DOSB and ASC Goettingen, Philipp Schoenlaub (the founder of the league) and to everyone involved in giving Rwandan youth the chance to develop their talents and work on their careers for a better future.

Closing Ceremony of the Kimisagara Youth League Season 18/19

P1160900The last match day on the first weekend of June (01.06.- 02.06.) was finished. The teams have played their last games and this season of the Kimisagara Youth league 3rd Season is over. That is why on Thursday the 6th of June 2019. all the teams, coaches, referees, the German volunteers Freddy and Jakob and the ESPERANCE staff came together to celebrate and to honour the teams.

It was after the Interclass Tournament of the G.S. kimisagara that everybody met at the Kimisagara Football for Hope Center.

Dominique Uwimana one of the main organisers of the League starts with his speech thanking the German volunteers, the coaches and referees, who got equipped with rain jackets. Because we want to make sure that in the next season the Teams can play whatever weather there is.

The speeches of the volunteers were mostly about thanking the donators from Germany and the previous volunteers Phillip, Hanna and Jannik, without who the League wouldn’t have been organised. Representatives of the coaches and players thanked everyone for organising the League. They are looking forward to the next season and hope that the league will be further improved concerning its organisation.

P1160822Special honours are given to the best goalkeeper from HIRWA TC who received a full goalkeeper set, the top scorer Bideri and the Fair-Play-Player Ngoga both are awarded a pair of shorts and shirts and the most reliable coach from Convenir got a full sports suit, as well as the Teams on position 8 -2. The fourth place HIRWA TC was awarded a set of Bibs and a Ball. The third place COMEJOGA received a second set of Bibs, a Ball and some corns. ESPERANCE FC made it to the second place, which is why they were given matching shorts and socks, as well as a pair of goalkeeper gloves.

The end of the ceremony is the Celebration of the League’s winner 20 STARS who received a full set of clothes, 14 shorts, shirts and socks, goalkeeper gloves, a ball and of course a cup. Congratulations! The ceremony was closed by music dances.

DSC07046The Streetfootballworld East Africa Network Members Organization met from 24th to 26th of May in Kigali in order to strengthen the ties between them and enable them to grow stronger together. A common understanding on Football for good and the strategic plan July 2017 – June 2020 marked the agenda. Great participation and commitment of the representatives of Streetfootballworld Paul Kelly, Gichuki board member, Esperance, SWB, IDYDC, Yes Busia, TYSA, MYSA, Soccer for Social Change, Amani Kibera, Jambo Bukoba, SYSSA, CJP, RDP Uganda. Esperance would like to thank Streetfootballworld and the Network members for being honored to host such meeting. Let us change the World through the improvement of the future of young people.

KWIBUKA 25 AND INTERNATIONAL DAY OF SPORTS FOR DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE 2019

DSC05907ESPERANCE started KWIBUKA 25 (Remember the 1994 Tutsis Genocide) by organizing different workshops on the International day of Sports for development and peace last Saturday 6th April 2019. The workshops brought together young football players, girls and boys and their coaches and they expressed themselves on how sports can prevent and solve conflicts. Messages, acting images and drawings were the methods used as you can see it at the pictures. We. ESPERANCE, would like to thank the German delegation who joined the event and got to know who we are, what we do for who and interact with our youth. ESPERANCE is a family for everyone.

Kimisagara Youth League 3rd Season 2019

DSC05198Hello and first of all a happy new year 2019! KIMISAGARA YOUTH LEAGUE 3rd SEASON 2019 started on Saturday 2nd February 2019. Eight teams compete for a trophy and football material as prices for the champions. Those teams are: Esperance FC, Comejoga FC, 20 Stars, Convenir, Hirwa TC, Snipers, Etoile de Kigali, Giticyinyoni. The opening game brought Esperance FC facing Gitikinyoni and the match ended draw 1 – 1. Then the results from other matches are as follow: Hirwa FC beat 4 – 0 Snipers at the second game of the day. On Sunday Etoile de Kigali won 3 – 2 Convenir and Comejoga drew 1 – 1 against 20 Stars. The next weekend, the results of the games are: Esperance 1 – 1 Comejoga, , Hirwa 1 – 1 Etoile de Kigali, Convenir 0 – 5 Snipers, Gitikinyoni 0 – 0 against 20 Stars.
